FAQs
Will I still be able to create custom reports?
Yes. To build custom reports, you'll need an Analytics+ subscription. This also includes a range of additional pre-built audit reports to help you save time, money and assist with compliance.
Will I still be able to access my reports from the classic Report Builder (BETA)?
No. From late 2026, Report Builder (Beta) will be discontinued, and any reports you've created using it will no longer be accessible. If you’d like to retain any of your existing reports, we recommend exporting and saving data to your local drive before this date, or you can subscribe to Analytics+ to recreate them.
What is Analytics+?
Analytics+ is an add-on subscription that gives you access to Deputy’s advanced reporting and analytics tool, designed for managers who need deeper insights, greater customization, and more control over their business data. This optional add-on subscription is separate from your current Deputy subscription.
How is Analytics+ different to the Report Builder (BETA)?
Analytics+ provides customers with more advanced and powerful reporting features than Report Builder (BETA). These include:
Access to more data - Includes HR add-on data, pay rate details, custom fields, and other key information not available in Report Builder.
View archived employee data - See information for both active and archived employees, not just current ones.
More export options - Export in CSV, PDF, PNG, Excel, or JSON (Report Builder only supports CSV and PDF).
Email and alert features - Send reports by email on demand or on a schedule, and get alerts when your data changes.
Advanced formulas - Go beyond basic + – × ÷ calculations with powerful, flexible formula support.
Custom data formatting - Adjust date, time, and field formats to match your business needs.
Smarter filtering - Use dynamic filters with dropdown lists for quick and easy selections.
Rich visualizations - Choose from multiple graph types, not just tables.
Audit trails - Track when shifts, timesheets, and employee data were changed - and by whom.
Better performance - Handle larger datasets and longer date ranges without timeouts or browser slowdowns.
When do Analytics reports and datasets refresh?
To support larger data volumes and improved performance, Analytics reports refresh every 4 hours. You can find the last refreshed timestamp on each pre-built report.
