How can this report help my organization?
Use the Leave report to stay on top of labour coverage for your organization.
What questions can this report help me answer?
- How much leave has a Team member taken last year?
- How much leave does a Team member have booked?
- How much leave balance does a Team member have remaining?
- Which team members have taken leave over a specific date range?
What is in the Leave report?
Summary
The first section of the report shows a summary of:
- the percentage of the workforce on leave within the selected date range (Note: the date filter only applies to this statistic and can be edited to adjusted the range of days filters if required)
- the percentage of the workforce with a negative leave balance across any leave type
Table of Leave balance summary
A table displaying team members' leave balance that can be filtered using the built-in drop-down menus to select specific:
- Primary (main) location
- Team member name
- Team member status (Employed or Archived)
- Leave policy
- Calculate available balance up to (All future leave, Specific date or Hire date)
- Balance date. (Note: this is only used if Specific date is selected in the Calculate available balance up to filter).
These filter selections will only act upon this table within this report.
Note on the Calculate available balance up to filter:
Available balance is calculated as: Leave balance - Upcoming leave.
This filter has three drop-down options:
- All future leave: Calculates team members' available balance without excluding approved leave in future leave years.
- Specific date: Calculates team members' available balance up until a specified date (excludes approved leave beyond this date).
- Hire date: Calculates team members' balance up until their hire date (each team member may have a different hire date).

- Team member full name
- Standard hours
- Leave policy name
- Leave balance (Hours)
- Upcoming Leave (Hours)
- Available balance (Hours)
- Leave balance (Days)
- Upcoming Leave (Days)
- Available balance (Days)
Table of Leave request summary
A table displaying team members' leave requests that can be filtered using the builtin drop-down menus to select specific:
- Leave Pay Line Date
- Primary (main) location
- Team member name
- Leave request policy name
- Leave request status (Approved, declined or cancelled)
- Team member status (employed or archived)
These filter selections will only act upon this table within this report.
The table of the leave request summary contains the following data fields:
- Team member full name
- Leave Request Start Date YYY-MM-DD
- Leave Request End Date YYY-MM-DD
- Leave Request Policy name
- Leave Request Status (Approved, Declined or Cancelled)
- Leave Request Created by
- Leave Request Comment
- Leave Request Time Approved by
- Leave Request Pay Approved by
- Leave Request Approval Comment
- Leave Request Total Hours
- Leave Pay Line Date
- Leave Pay Line Start Time
- Leave Pay Line End Time
- Leave Pay Line Leave Policy
- Leave Pay Line Total Hours
Note: Leave Pay Lines are created once a Leave Request is approved and they represent the leave details for a single day as approved by a manager (as opposed to what the team member requested in the leave request).

A table displaying team members' leave taken (timesheets) that can be filtered using the builtin drop-down menus to select specific:
- Timesheet date
- Primary (main) location
- Team member name
- Leave policy name
- Team member status (Employed or Archived)
These filter selections will only act upon this table within this report.
The table of the leave taken summary contains the following data fields:
- Team member full name
- Timesheet Total Time
- Total timesheet costs
- Timesheet date YYYY-MM-DD
- Leave policy name
- Timesheet Hours
- Timesheet Status (Pay approved, Discarded)
- Timesheet Cost
- Primary (Main) Location
