If your team member has already accepted their invitation to Deputy System Administrators and Location Managers can send them their login details.

The team member will receive an email asking them to reset their password and the email will also inform them of their Kiosk PIN.
How can Team Members retrieve or change their PIN?
Team members can show or change their own PIN as described in Retrieve or change my Deputy Kiosk PIN.
Can I set up ONE kiosk for ALL locations?
Yes, you can set up any Deputy Kiosk for iPad so that it lists the team members from every location in your Deputy account.
Note: This is not a feature available to those using the Android Time Clock.
By default when you set up a Deputy Kiosk for iPad it will only be configured for the Location you specified during set up. However, System Administrators and Location Managers are able to amend the settings of a Kiosk so that it is set up for all locations in a Deputy account.
To do this you will need to:
1. Click on Edit Settings for the Location where you have already set up the Deputy Kiosk for iPad.
2. Select the Timesheets tab on the left-hand side and click on Manage time clocks.
3. Identify the Kiosk you wish to change to all locations. You can do this by checking the name you used when you set up the Kiosk and then click on the pencil and paper icon to Edit the configuration of the Kiosk.
4. Tick the check box for All locations and click Save.
5. Now go to your Deputy Kiosk for iPad and pull down on the list of team member names to refresh the Kiosk and the names of team members from all locations in your Deputy account will appear.
Can I set up MULTIPLE kiosks for ONE location?
Yes, you can set up multiple kiosks for a single location using different devices. Just follow the instructions to set up the Kiosk on each device.
Does the Kiosk use facial recognition and how?
Yes, in two ways. However, it's up to the manager to decide whether to enable each feature:
-
Managers can enable Face Unlock to allow team members to log in just by presenting their face to the device rather than logging in with a PIN
-
The Kiosk can be set up to require a photo to be taken when starting and ending a shift. This photo is shown on the timesheet.
-
If the team member logs into the Kiosk via Face Unlock then the photo is automatically taken then.
-
If the team member logs into the Kiosk via PIN then the camera turns on after they initiate the start of the shift and takes a photo.
-
We recommend that you leave this setting ON, however, if you would like to turn off the ability for the Kiosk to take a photo as team members login you can do this in your device settings.
Go to Settings and go to the Deputy Kiosk app setting. Toggle OFF Disable Auto Face Detection.
Why does the Kiosk say that it is offline?
There may be an internet connection issue with your iPad. Check your device's internet settings. You can also restart your iPad (long press on the power button).
You can still use your iPad Kiosk offline with some limitations.
The Face Unlock feature for Touchless Clock in will not be available while the Kiosk is offline, however, team members may still log in with their Kiosk PIN, use voice commands and a photo will still be captured when starting a shift. The photo and shift details will be uploaded to the team member's timesheet once the Kiosk comes back online to the internet.
Why is the Kiosk's facial recognition feature mistaking one of my team members for a different team member?
If the profile photo for each team member has been formatted in accordance with the necessary requirements but, the system continues to misidentify them, they will need to abandon the use of facial recognition and switch to using a PIN when clocking in/out instead. Deputy uses a third party service for face matching capabilities and does not have control over its operation.
