There are several features in Deputy you can use to ensure your team is clocking in for work at the correct location.
1. Set up your work location address accurately
Ensure you have set the correct address when setting up your location. You can even add notes or attachments to each location if you have advice you need to pass on to your team about accessing or parking at that location. Your team will be able to read these notes when they view their shift details.
2. Set up your areas within your location
If you have areas within your location that have their own geographical address that is different from the location address you set then you can also assign an address to that area. Team members that are scheduled to work in that area will be directed to clock in at that area's address.
3. Set up a Deputy fixed time clock in your work location
You can download the Deputy Kiosk for iPad app or Deputy Time Clock for Android app onto an iPad or tablet to set up a fixed time clock for your team to clock in and out at your work location. Read about ways to use Deputy on different devices.
4. Enable clocking in and out via Deputy mobile app
Location managers and System Administrators can enable/disable the ability for their team at each location to clock in and out via the Deputy mobile apps. When clocking in via the mobile apps the phone's GPS location will be captured (only at the point of clocking in and out) and stored with the team member's timesheet.
Clocking far away from location notifications
Managers who wish to be alerted when their team member clocks in or out on the Deputy mobile apps too far away from their work location can enable the optional notification for Clocking far away from location.
Block team members clocking far away from location (Geofence)
Managers who wish to block their team from clocking into the Deputy mobile apps away from the work location can enable the Geofence feature in their location settings.
