Account Closure Convenience Fee
|
- Under contract terms, client must provide at least 30 days' notice of termination.
- In the event the client provides less notice than required under the client's contract terms, this fee will apply.
- The fee will be calculated by taking the average of the past three months of service fees, excluding one-time, annual, and miscellaneous fees.

- Give Paycor a 30 to 60-day notice of intent to leave.
- Make sure to refer to the Terms & Conditions linked in your client service agreement (CSA) to see how much notice you are required to give.

- Charged when money is returned due to an incorrect routing or account number.

- Common reason for this fee is insufficient funds in the selected bank account, the account has been closed, or account number is invalid.
- Verify or update employee direct deposit change requests prior to processing payroll.
- Educate employees about timing deadlines for submitting requests.
- Make sure the Payroll Administrator has enough time to make the Direct Deposit change before submitting the payroll.
- Change the accounts at least one day before submitting the Payroll.
- Make sure the company bank account attached to Paycor has sufficient funds.

Amended Tax Returns
|
- A change is required to correct a tax filing.
|
- Validating and correcting any payroll tax related issues in the current quarter will avoid the need for amended returns.
- Go to the Compliance Warning section in Paycor and run the W-2 Preview Report to identify issues that could potentially lead to an amended return or tax notice.
- Before approving the Payrunreview the Pre-Post Payroll Journal, located under the Reports section on the right-hand side of the final Payrunscreen. Double-check to make sure there are no missing or incorrect taxes under each employee and in the company taxes section.
- Most Amended Tax Returns are the result of incorrect wages being reported to the correct tax authority or the correct wages being reported to the incorrect tax authority.

Bank Fee Notification Change
|
- Charged for incorrect bank account information associated with a specific payment (Customer or employee).

Check Copy
|

- The most common reason this fee is charged is when an employee claims they did not receive their check, but the check is showing it was cashed in Paycor.
- Then a check copy from the Bank is requested to receive more information including who signed the check. For a Check Copy, request one from Support.
- The best way to avoid this fee would be to enforce Direct Deposit with employees.

Checks Cleared Early
|
- Customer is cashed before the effective check date.

Checks Signing

- Charged to keep the customer's signature on file and use on a check.

Tax Code Missing Account Number
|
- Customer does not provide a tax account number for Paycor to file and pay taxes on their behalf
|
- Review and address missing Account Numbers by viewing Missing Tax Identification Numbers report in your post payroll reports.
- The fee will be applied on the last day of the month in which the tax code was added to Paycor, provided it is in the Applied For status.
- View any missing or invalid tax account numbers by going to the Compliance Warnings >Tax Registration Issues. Follow the prompts to enter the missing or updated Tax IDs.

Tax Exception Filing Fee
|
- Charged when an exception is required to successfully file an original tax return due to customer tax correction. Any penalties, interest, or other fees the taxing jurisdiction imposes are not covered by this charge, and the client is responsible for paying those fees.

- Verify tax codes are properly set up at the Client level and Employee level.
- Provide a valid FEIN and Tax ID and verify that the account is open.

Tax ID Registration
