How does the integration handle new team members?
When you hire a new person, they must exist in both Deputy and Paycor before they can be linked for payroll. Currently, creating a person in one system does not automatically create them in the other.
To match employees:
Create the profile in both systems: Add the new hire to Paycor first, then add them to Deputy using the same email address.
Link the profiles: Go to the Payroll tab in Deputy and select Match team members.
Sync the ID: If the email addresses match, Deputy will automatically link them. If they don't match, you must manually select the team member to link their Paycor ID to their Deputy profile.
You must complete these steps before you can export that person's timesheets.
How do I manage old leave policies?
If you have leave policies that are no longer used, rename them to reduce the risk of Managers selecting them. Deputy does not currently provide an archive option for leave policies. We suggest that you edit the policy name and add a "Z" prefix (for example, Z - Do Not Use - Vacation). This moves the policy to the bottom of the dropdown lists.
How do I set up tenure-based leave accruals?
You can configure Deputy to automatically increase leave entitlements based on a team member’s length of service. To learn how to set up tenure-based leave, head to How to set up leave policies (US only).
Why should I turn off accruals in Paycor?
Once setup is complete, Deputy becomes the single source of truth for leave balances.
Because the integration automatically sends leave taken and current balances back to the Paycor pay stub, you must turn off accruals in the Paycor app. Leaving accruals active in both systems may result in incorrect or double-counted balances.
How do I know my leave import worked?
To ensure your leave import has worked, you can validate your data immediately after completion by comparing reports. You can learn more about this by reading, How do I import leave balances from Paycor to Deputy Payroll (US)?
