What is Deputy Payroll enabled by Paycor (US)?
Deputy Payroll enabled by Paycor (US), is a unified workforce management and payroll solution. By connecting these platforms, you can manage scheduling, time tracking, and payroll processing within a connected ecosystem.
You will use your existing credentials to authenticate the connection. Once linked, Deputy captures time and manages leave, while you can use Paycor to handle tax filings, banking, and year-end processing.
How does the data sync work?
The integration connects scheduling and payroll systems to streamline data flow.
- Team members: Profiles are matched using a unique Payroll ID, so hours worked in Deputy are attributed to the correct person in Paycor.
- Leave and accruals: Deputy becomes the single source of truth for leave. You can import balances, manage requests, and sync final balances back to Paycor paystubs.
- Timesheets: Approved timesheets in Deputy are exported directly to Paycor for payment.
What do I need to do before I start the setup?
Before configuring the integration, ensure your Deputy account is fully prepared. Accurate and aligned data in both systems is required for successful matching.
Complete the following in Deputy:
- Set up Locations and Areas: Ensure your Deputy structure mirrors your Paycor departments.
- Add team members: Confirm all staff are added to both Deputy and Paycor using the same email addresses.
- Configure pay rates: Assign correct pay rates and export codes to team members in Deputy.
- Set up leave policies: Create leave policies that align with Paycor accrual types.
What is the setup workflow?
The integration follows a structured setup process:

Leave Records Sync
Once your connection is live, you must bring your existing leave records from Paycor into Deputy to make your team's "starting" balances are accurate. This process makes Deputy your single source of truth for leave management and streamlines your first payroll run. To complete this, download an Accrual Details Report from Paycor and upload it directly to the Leave Balances section of the Deputy Payroll tab.
