How do I transfer employee leave balances to Deputy Payroll?
When moving to Deputy Payroll from another system, you may have employee leave balances that must be transferred. To do so, follow the steps below.
Important: Before you begin, please ensure that there is no active pay run in progress for Deputy Payroll. If you have already started a pay run, you must either cancel it or wait until your next pay run.
- From the People tab, find the affected employee's profile, and click on their name.
- In their profile, select the Payroll tab, scroll to "Payroll Calculation" and click Edit
- Under "Earnings/Leave from the previous payroll system", select Yes, fill in your fields and hit Save changes.
The Fields:- Financial Year: Select the financial year you are currently in.
Important Note: If you select the previous Financial Year, the balances won't be updated. - Annual Leave: Enter the employee's current Annual Leave balance from the previous payroll system.
- Personal Leave: Enter the employee's current Personal Leave balance from the previous payroll system.
- Long Service Leave: Enter the employee's current Long Service Leave balance from the previous payroll system.
- Financial Year: Select the financial year you are currently in.
- Once the information has been added in the above order, Deputy Payroll will take over the accruals and deductions when the next pay run is completed.
