Unable to submit STP error message
Sometimes, when you try to submit an STP, an error message may appear that is associated with an employee stating: "Length of line should be 120 but is actually: 114" and you cannot submit the STP. This error message occurs when an affected employee's bank information has not synced to Deputy Payroll.
Solution
To solve this, you can initiate a manual sync of an employee's employment information by following these steps:
- From the People tab, find the affected employee's profile, click on the three dots and Edit Employment
Note: In the example, the affected employee is Ed Kingsley. - Click the Save button.
- Head back to Payroll and you should now be able to submit the STP without issue.
