If you have been asked to clock on and off with Deputy at the start and finish of shifts and breaks there are a number of ways you can do this:
Clock on using the Deputy mobile app on your smartphone
The Deputy mobile apps can be downloaded to your iOS or Android phone and (if permitted by your organisation) allow you to clock in and out at your work location. Deputy does not track your phone location while using the app other than to record where you were at the point when you clocked in and out.
Your manager may be notified if you clocked in far away from where you are scheduled to work. You may also be blocked from clocking in too far away from your scheduled work location depending on the setting your organisation has configured.
Clock on using the Apple watch
If you have an Apple watch and have logged into the Deputy mobile app on your iOS phone you can use your watch to clock on and off from your shifts.
Clock on using the Deputy Kiosk for iPad or Deputy Time Clock for Android
If your workplace has installed either the Deputy Kiosk for iPad or Deputy Time Clock for Android as a fixed timeclock you can clock in and out for shifts using either a PIN or facial recognition to login for touchless clock in.
Clock on using the Deputy Web Time Clock
If your workplace has set up the Deputy Web Kiosk on a computer you can clock on for shifts using a PIN.
Clock on using the Deputy website
You can also start and end your shift via a web browser. We recommend you use the latest version of Google Chrome to provide the best experience for using Deputy.
Clock on using SMS
If you don't have a smartphone, you can still clock on and off for a shift with your non-smartphone using SMS.
