This article introduces the updated location for Business Entities settings if you use Deputy HR or Deputy Payroll (AU).

What's changing?

Business Entities settings for Deputy HR and Deputy Payroll (AU) are moving to one central location: 
Business Settings >  General.

This change is being released gradually starting from 26 October 2026, so it may not appear in all eligible accounts immediately. 

Note: We’re updating our Help Center articles to reflect this change. In the meantime, some instructions or screenshots may still show the previous locations. You can refer to this article to find the settings in your account.
 

Deputy HR

After your account receives the update, go to Business Settings > General when you need to add or edit business entity details.

If you don’t see these settings under General yet, you can continue using the existing location: People > Onboarding Settings.

Deputy Payroll (AU)

After your business receives the update, go to Business Settings > General when you need to to add or edit business entity details.

If you don’t see these settings under General yet, you can continue using the existing location: Business Settings > Pay > Payroll.

Once your account receives the update, Deputy Payroll (AU) users will see a banner on the Pay tab directing them to the new location.
