This article covers:
Change an approved timesheet
Once a timesheet has been approved, you'll need to unapprove the relevant component before making changes.
Choose what to unapprove based on the information you need to update:
- Unapprove time when you need to change worked details such as the date, start or finish time, breaks, shift details, or area worked.
- Unapprove pay when the worked time is correct but the pay details need to be updated.
What you can unapprove depends on your permissions. Location Managers and System Administrators can unapprove and change both the time and pay components of timesheets for team members they manage. Supervisors can unapprove and change the time component only.
You can unapprove both the time and pay components from either:
-
The three dots menu beside an approved timesheet in the timesheet list.
-
The detailed timesheet view after opening the approved timesheet.
Note: Timesheets can only be unapproved from the Deputy website. This action isn't available in the Deputy mobile app.
Unapprove multiple timesheets
You can also unapprove multiple approved timesheets at the same time by selecting the approved timesheets you want to update and click More, then:
- Unapprove to unapprove the time component.
- Unapprove pay to unapprove the pay component.
Edit, reapprove, or discard
Once you've unapproved the required component, you can edit the timesheet, approve it again, or discard it if it should no longer continue through the approval workflow.
To update worked time, shift details, or pay information, see How to edit a timesheet.
If you've changed an older timesheet, later approved timesheets for the same team member may also need to be recalculated to ensure overtime and other pay rules remain accurate. See Recalculate approved timesheets.
