When you were first invited to join Deputy you were emailed your Kiosk / Time Clock PIN.
Your PIN is needed to access the Deputy Kiosk or Time Clock apps (if you don't use FaceUnlock for touchless clock in)
If you need to retrieve or reset the PIN please follow these steps
- Request your PIN from the Deputy Kiosk
- Retrieve or change your PIN from the Deputy Website
- Retrieve or change your PIN from your Deputy mobile app
- Retrieve your PIN while using the Deputy Web Time Clock
- Ask your manager to reset your PIN
Request your PIN from the Deputy iOS Kiosk
You can request your Kiosk PIN to be sent to you.
1. Open the iOS Kiosk app, then select your name from the list to the left.
2. Tap on Forgot PIN? beneath the keypad.
3. You will then have the option to send your PIN to yourself via SMS or Email, depending on which contact details you have entered on your profile.
Alternatively, you can log in without a PIN by allowing the Kiosk app to take a photo but you will be limited to starting and stopping shifts. Your photo will be attached to the associated timesheets.
Note: For Android Time Clock users you will be unable to request your PIN directly from the Time Clock. You will need to retrieve it from the Deputy website or mobile apps.
Retrieve or change your PIN from the Deputy Website
If you can't find your Deputy invitation email with your PIN in your inbox or you've forgotten your PIN you can view, or even change it, on the Deputy website.
1. Log in to Deputy website and click on Edit Profile.
Alternatively, if you are already logged onto the Deputy website you reach the same page by selecting Account overview from the drop-down menu under your name. You may be prompted to re-enter your password.
2. On the Edit Profile screen, you can retrieve your Kiosk or Time Clock PIN by clicking on show me.
3. If you would like to change it, enter a four-digit number in the Kiosk PIN field and click on Save Changes.
This new PIN will now enable you to log in to Deputy Kiosk and Time Clock apps.
Retrieve or change your PIN from your Deputy mobile app
If you can't find your Deputy invitation email with your PIN in your inbox or you've forgotten your PIN you can view, or even change it, on the Deputy mobile app.
Deputy iOS mobile app
1. Tap on the profile icon on the top left-hand side of the Home screen.
2. Tap Edit Profile.
3. You can see your Kiosk or Time Clock PIN on your Profile screen.
4. If you decide to change your PIN don't forget to tap Save before you leave the screen to save your changes.
Deputy Android mobile app
1. On the Deputy Android mobile app, log in and tap on the menu 'hamburger' icon from any screen.
2. Click on the drop-down menu under your name.
3. You can see your Kiosk or Time Clock PIN on your Profile screen.
4. If you decide to change your PIN don't forget to tap the tick icon before you leave the screen to save your changes.
Retrieve your PIN while using the Deputy Web Time Clock
If you've forgotten your PIN you can have it sent to you.
1. Select your name from the list and click onForgot PIN?
2. Select whether you want your PIN sent to you via SMS or email.
3. The PIN will be sent to your email or phone as requested. Below is an example of the email they would receive.
