Editing an employee's pay rates is simple, and can be entered for a single employee, or in bulk.

Getting Started

Please note that you can only edit pay rates for employees that you manager, or if you are a system administrator.

Editing Pay Rates

Navigate to the People tab and click 'Options' on the employee you would like to edit. In the drop-down menu, click 'Edit' as seen in the screenshot below

Now click on the Pay Rate tab.

Now click the 'Pay Rates' drop-down menu. From here, you can select the pay structure you would like to apply:

Now fill in the pay rates as necessary and click 'Save Details' when you are done.

Note: If you have chosen to use an award from our library, you only need to enter the base rate and the multipliers will be adjusted accordingly. This can be seen in the example below, with an employee on the [MA000002] Clerks Private Sector Award 2010, with an ordinary rate of $22.1648 p/h.

Bulk Edit Employee Pay Rates

If you have multiple employee on the same pay rates, you can enter this via Bulk Actions.

To do this, navigate to the People tab and select the checkbox next to the employees you would like to edit. Once you have selected the employees, click the 'Bulk Actions' drop-down menu at the top of your employee list, then click 'Set Rates'.

In the pop-up, select the pay structure you would like to apply, then enter the pay rates you would like to set. Click 'Save' when you are done.

Set-up Employee Export Codes

You can also set employee export codes. This allows you to properly export your employee timesheets to your payroll solution if it requires export code matching. To set this, simply edit an employee's pay rates and scroll to the bottom. The Timesheet Export Code field will appear at the bottom of this list, as seen in the screenshot below:

Click 'Save Details' when you are done.
