What is the 2024 Clock Out?
We're excited to introduce the 2024 Clock Out for all shift workers using the Deputy mobile app. This feature will be available in Deputy on November 18th 2024 and provides shift workers with a personalised summary video, visualising their last 12 months of work.
The 2024 Clock Out highlights insights such as the number of shifts worked.
Shift workers can share their 2024 Clock Out achievements on social media and via messaging, featuring highlights from their year and insights into their work life.
The Deputy 2024 Clock Out will not interrupt a team member's regular day-to-day use of the Deputy mobile app. It will appear as a notification that each team member has the option to open or not. Team members can exit the 2024 Clock Out experience at any time and revisit later if they wish.
Why is Deputy having a 2024 Clock Out?
Deputy's 2024 Clock Out is our chance to show shift workers just how much they have achieved this year with Deputy.
2024 Clock Out is an interactive in-product experience providing each shift worker on Deputy with a tailored, personalized wrap-up of all they’ve accomplished over the past year. Shift workers can share their 2024 Clock Out achievements on social media and via messaging.
The 2024 Clock Out experience is just a small part of our Shift Worker Sunday holiday activities.
Shift Worker Sunday, celebrated annually on the last Sunday of November, is the first-ever official holiday recognizing the 2.7 billion shift workers who make up 80% of the world’s workforce.

Where is the data coming from?
The tailored shift worker insights provided in the 2024 Clock Out experience are generated by analysing the millions of shifts clocked in and out of Deputy by shift workers every day.
Rest assured that any data used for these purposes is not identifiable to any specific business or organisation.

Does anyone else see my 2024 Clock Out information?
No. The information included in your personal 2024 Clock Out is not shared with anyone else unless you choose to tap on the button to Share to socials with your friends, family or co-workers.
Note: When you tap the Share button you are only sharing the specific screen you are currently viewing. It does not automatically share all screens from the 2024 Clock Out. If you would like to share another screen you will need to tap Share on that screen as well.
What if I want my business to opt out?
If you would prefer that users associated with your Deputy account cannot access 2024 Clock Out from your account, System Administrators can disable this feature in Business settings.
In Business settings, click on the Upcoming feature tab then click on the toggle for 2024 Clock out to disable it to OFF. Don't forget to click Apply changes before you close the window.
As a business manager, you will know that the 2024 Clock Out has been turned off for your account if you log into the Deputy mobile app and do not see the 2024 Clock Out banner at the top of the app. This will indicate that the 2024 Clock Out has also been removed for every team member in your Deputy account.
Note: We are unable to turn the feature off for specific team members in your account. You can only opt out as a complete business.
What if a team member works across multiple businesses in Deputy?
If a team member works across multiple businesses using Deputy, their personalised summary will be aggregated across the businesses. So it will be the same summary and experience regardless of where you view this experience.
Example: Aaliyah worked 50 shifts for Business A and 50 shifts for Business B. When Aaliyah views her 2024 Clock Out in Deputy, the total shifts worked for the year would say 100 shifts (50 + 50) regardless of which Deputy account she is accessing this from.
If a team member works across multiple businesses using Deputy and one, or multiple, of those businesses decide to opt out of the 2024 Clock Out, then the team member will still see the Clock Out experience when they are signed into the Deputy businesses that have not opted out.
When viewing the Clock Out, the employee will see data that is an aggregation of all businesses they are associated with on Deputy.
Example: Lachlan worked 50 shifts for Business A and 50 shifts for Business B but Business B has opted out of the 2024 Clock out. When Lachlan views his 2024 Clock Out in Deputy, the total shifts worked for the year would say 100 shifts (50 + 50) but only when logged into Deputy via Business A. Lachlan would not be able to access the Clock Out experience at all when logged into Business B.
What if I have a question about a statistic shown in my Clock Out?
Please note that all figures shown during the Clock Out are approximate figures only and look at data from the past 12 months not necessarily just 2024.
Please check with your manager if you need to clarify your previous shift information.
Why can't I see the 2024 Clock Out in my account?
