A location code is an alphanumeric code assigned to a location in your organisation. It is used in several places in Deputy including:
- a short code to identify the location in shift notifications such as in SMS notifications
- acts as the location's export code when exporting timesheets and matches the timesheets to a cost centre in another system if that system supports that.
- printing the schedule in some formats
When you create a location, the code is set, by default, as the first three characters in your Location name but you can change the code if you need to:
1. On the Locations page, click Edit Settings for the location you would like to edit.
2. Select General.
3. Type your desired code in the field Location code.
4. Click Save when done.
