When working with Deputy's Support team, you may be asked to provide an image or recording of your screen and share it with us. This helps us see exactly what you are seeing and better understand the issue at hand.
This can be achieved using your device's built-in features or downloaded software:

Mac OS
To capture a screenshot:
- Press ⌘ + Shift + 4 and capture the area with the crosshairs which replace your cursor.
- The screenshot will save to your computer as "Screen Shot date at time".

To capture a screen recording:
- Press ⌘ + Shift + 5 and capture the area with the crosshairs which replace your cursor.
- You will see onscreen controls for recording the entire screen or recording a selected portion of the screen.

Windows
To capture a screenshot:
- While viewing pages relevant to the issue at hand, press the Windows key + Print Screen or PrtSc.
- This takes a screenshot of your whole screen, even if you don’t see it happening.
- The screenshot will be saved to your Pictures > Screenshots folder.

Chromebook
To capture a screenshot:
- Press Ctrl+ Shift + Show Windows (or Ctrl + Shift + F5).
- In the menu at the bottom, select Screenshot.
- The screenshot saves to your Downloads folder.

- Press Ctrl+ Shift + Show Windows (or Ctrl + Shift + F5).
- In the menu at the bottom, select Screen record.
- The screenshot saves to your Downloads folder.

iOS
To capture a screenshot on an iPhone or iPad:
- Press and hold the Sleep/Lock button and the Volume Up button simultaneously. If you're using an older device or iPad, it is likely the Sleep/Lock button and the Home button need to be pressed.
- You should see a flash of white when your screenshot is successfully saved.
- The screenshot saves to your Photos app under Saved Photos or Camera Roll depending on your device.

To capture a screen recording on an iPhone or iPad:

Android
To capture a screenshot:
- Press and hold the Power and Volume down buttons simultaneously.
- You should hear a shutter noise and see the screen flash when your screenshot is successfully saved.
- A notification will appear at the top of the screen, from which you can access your screenshot.
- You can also hold down the Power button until the option to take a screenshot presents itself at the bottom of the screen.
