This article is written for System Administrators or Location Managers setting up Deputy Extensions to add additional functionality to your Deputy account.

This article will cover these Birthday and Anniversary related extensions:

• Birthday Today > Send Notification
• Birthday Today > Update Junior Pay Rates

• Work Anniversary Today > Send Notification
• Work Anniversary Event > Webhook Call

This feature sends a notification to the manager or to the whole team via the News feed when it’s someone’s birthday.

This can be useful to notify a manager of a pay rate change. If you select "Manager" then the notification will be sent to the manager that set up the extension.

This extension, when activated, allows automatic age-related pay rate updates for junior employees aged 15-21 years old.

You will also need to ensure that your employees have pay rates set up in their employee profiles. The employee also needs to have their birthday set within Deputy.

Managers can choose to be notified of the update via push notification or email. The manager who activates this extension will be the manager to whom the notification will be sent.

Note: this extension does not function if you are using Pay by Area for the team member.

This extension allows you to use advanced webhooks to allow other applications to receive the birthday event, allowing you to send messages in systems other than Deputy (e.g. email, Slack).

This article provides more information about how to use webhooks for Anniversary or Birthday messages.

This works much like the Birthday notification extension. If an employee has a start date entered into their profile, on their work anniversary day, their manager can receive a notification, or a congratulations message can be posted on the News Feed, or both can occur.

You can select which occurs under the 'Notify or Announce' drop-down box, which has the following options:

• Both
• Announce on News Feed
• Notify Manager

This extension allows you to use advanced webhooks to allow other applications to receive the anniversary event, allowing you to send messages in systems other than Deputy (e.g. email, Slack).
