How does the US Payroll Dashboard work in Deputy?
The US Payroll Dashboard brings together approved timesheet data and payroll processing in a single workspace. It collects approved time records and organizes them into payroll-ready totals, making it easier for you to review, validate, and export payroll information.
If your business manages multiple company tenants, you can switch between them directly from the dashboard. This allows you to review payroll data for each connected business without signing out and back in again.
The Payroll Dashboard is designed to help you:
- Review upcoming payroll cycles
- Access previously processed pay runs
- Inspect payroll totals before export
- Send reviewed payroll data to Paycor
How do I access my Payroll Dashboard?
The Payroll Dashboard is where you can review upcoming payroll cycles, access historical pay runs, inspect payroll totals, and process payroll data for export to Paycor.
If your business has multiple connected company tenants, make sure you're viewing the correct tenant before reviewing payroll information.
To access the Payroll Dashboard:
-
Click Payroll in the Main menu and confirm you're on the Pay Runs tab.
-
Check that the company name in the right-hand drop-down matches the payroll data you want to access, or click to choose a different tenant.
The Payrolls tab displays both upcoming and previously processed pay runs for the selected company tenant.
Upcoming pay runs are generated automatically based on the pay frequencies you have configured for your business. Historical pay runs contain payroll data that has already been processed and exported to Paycor.
From this page, you can:
- Review upcoming pay runs
- Access historical pay runs
- Inspect payroll totals
- Process payroll exports to Paycor
How do I review hours and earnings to send to Paycor?
Before processing payroll, it's encouraged that you review the hours and earnings included in the pay run. Expanding a pay run allows you to inspect the payroll totals generated from approved timesheets.
To review pay run details and send to Paycor:
-
Open the Payroll tab and select Pay Runs.
- Under Upcoming, find the pay run you want to review by confirming the pay run breakdown details, and then click the arrow icon next to the pay run to view an expanded pay run breakdown that includes a variety of information such as:

- Total dollar amount
- Total hours
-
Leave hours

Below this, you'll find the Pay Rates and Team Members tabs. Here, you can view:
-

-
Team Members, who have an approved timesheet, including approved leave timesheets, in this pay run.

Once you've reviewed the payroll totals, confirm the pay period details and click Process Pay.
