Managing Messaging Notifications
Messaging keeps you updated with mobile push notifications for any new messages. You can also customize your notifications for each chat or channel individually.
Mobile App Notifications
On mobile, you’ll get Messaging alerts through push notifications only. Email
notifications aren’t used.
To
enable or disable push notifications,
go your phone's Settings then the Applications
list and tap on the Deputy app in the list.
From here, you can toggle the permissions, such as notifications, on and off as desired.
Mute or Snooze: If you want to reduce noise or avoid distractions, you can mute or snooze notifications for specific chats or channels.
To mute notifications from a group chat or individual team member, open the relevant messaging thread, then tap on profile photo in the top right corner. Switch the Mute notifications toggle ON.
If you've muted notifications from a group chat or individual, you'll no longer receive push notifications or badge alerts on your mobile. You will need to open the chat thread to check for new messages.
To unmute notifications from a group chat or individual team member, switch the Mute notifications toggle OFF.
