The Reports Tab

The Reports tab offers a variety of reporting options using the metrics of your organization. This information is not just useful, it's essential, and Deputy appreciates how important it is for your reports to be as accurate, as they are easy to access. How to troubleshoot

If your report is not loading, try the following:

Check the basics.

Narrowing down the cause of the problem can save you time and frustration.

Protective Software

Check your Internet security software including firewalls, antivirus programs, anti-spyware programs and more to see if they are blocking the connection.

Network Connection

Ask your IT department, or your Internet provider to check your Internet connection (ISP/local network firewall/bandwidth limitation or general traffic limitation settings. If neither your computer nor another computer can load the reporting websites in your location, but you are able to at another location, like at home, or at a local coffee shop, the issue may be your network connection. If this is the case, the cause of the issue is likely outside of what Deputy can support.

Check system settings and web browser

With the exception of the Deputy Mobile app, Deputy runs in your web browser, and so can be subject to issues that are easily fixed without contacting support.

Note: We officially support Chrome, Chromium, Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge and Opera running the latest versions from the past 6 months.

Check your browser by doing the following:

1. Refresh your page. Sometimes updates you make are sent to the cloud, but your browser hasn’t updated to reflect this change. Clicking refresh helps your browser show you the most up-to-date info in Deputy.

2. Test your internet connection. If Deputy seems to be underperforming, try another site and see if the problem continues. This can help to determine whether the issue is in Deputy’s control, or that of your internet provider.
3. Ensure your Chrome browser is up-to-date. Deputy runs best on Google Chrome, and will always be optimized for the current version.
4. Clear cache and cookies. This is a great step toward troubleshooting any website issue. Note that cookies stored on your browser by other sites will also be reset.

Still not loading?

Depending on the amount of data your report is trying to process, it may take several minutes. If you see a spinning Deputy star, as shown below, then your report may just be in progress. The larger the report, the longer it may take to build.

If you still feel the report is taking too long, try a smaller sample size. This could be a smaller date range, less people, or fewer locations, to better determine why the report isn't loading.
