Connecting your Deputy account to Kounta will allow you to sync data across both platforms, creating an efficient workplace ecosystem.

Getting Started

Ensure that you have a valid Kounta account. To create an account, visit and click 'Sign Up'. You will need to go through a few steps to create your account, including the type of business and the number of registers you will set up.

Connecting Kounta to Your Deputy Account

To connect your account, head to the Locations page and click 'Edit Settings' on location in which you would like to attach to the service.

Now navigate to the Integrations tab and ensure that 'Kounta' is ticked. Click continue when this is done.

If you do not see this page when you click Integrations, you may already have extensions and integrations set up. If your desired service is not in the list, simply click 'Edit Services', where you will be brought to the page displayed above.

In the service list, click 'Authorize' next to the service you would like to connect with.

A pop-up both will appear when you click this. Enter your Kounta login details to proceed.

In this next section, ensure that the correct account is selected in the drop-down box, then click 'Grant Access' when you are finished.


These are the services available with this integration.

New User > Add Employee

This will sync new employee data between your services. In this instance, when a new user is added to Kounta, it will sync and add the employee into Deputy.

To do this, login to Kounta and click the 'People' tab.

On this page, click the 'Invite a new user' button.

A pop-up box will appear. Enter the new user's details here and click 'Invite User' when you are finished.

An email will be sent to the new user requesting them to sign up for Kounta, which looks like the following:

On the next page, the new user will be asked to create a new account.

After they create their account, navigate back to the People page in Deputy. You will now see that the user added to Kounta will be included in your People list, and will have an invite to join Deputy.

New Order > Create Sale

This integration allows you to feed Kounta orders into Deputy as sales so that you can understand employee cost vs. sales to effectively create your schedule.

When setting up this integration, you will be able to map sales from a particular Kounta POS terminal to an Area or Department in Deputy.

You will also be able to fetch sales going back 4 weeks.

Note: The data we show from Kounta matches their Sales Feed report of raw sales and returns data.

Timesheet > Sync Timesheet

When a new timesheet is created within Kounta, the system will replicate this in Deputy, allowing you to approve and export timesheets with ease.
